What is public housing? Why does it matter? Minnesota Doctors for Health Equity is sponsoring an event with Defend Glendale & Public Housing Coalition to host a workshop on Public Housing 101. This is a unique opportunity for healthcare providers and the public to learn directly from members of the community on an issue that affects the citizens of the Twin Cities. Defend Glendale is a grassroots, resident-led campaign organizing to prevent the privatization of public housing in Minneapolis, while advocating for the expansion of public housing. This workshop will be led by a resident organizer from Defend Glendale Public Housing Coalition. Following this event, a series of educational sessions are available for those interested in taking the information learned from the event and moving into action!
