Summer Health Equity Book Club: What We Hunger For: Food and health equity in our refugee and immigrant communities (Part 1)

Looking for a book to read over the summer?  Join MDHEQ for the first of this two part series as we discuss the intersectionality of nutrition and health. Our discussion leaders will be three contributors from anthology What We Hunger For: Refugee and Immigrant Stories about Food and Family.  Each participant will receive a copy of the book and invitation to the second part of the series hosted on September 21, 2022 from 7:30-8:30 pm during which the contributors will guide us on a deeper discussion of their work. All are welcome.

Health Professionals will use their voice, knowledge, and influence to eliminate the inequities that exist in health and healthcare, while working effectively with their patients, health systems, communities, and decision makers to address health equity wherever they live, work, learn, and play.
