Writing Workshop: Stories and Advocacy- June 12 6-8pm     UMN Center for the Art of Medicine

Join us for an in-person workshop on how to use ethically collected stories. At this workshop, we will work together on writing letters to the editor, opinion and perspective pieces, and storytelling for advocacy.

Light refreshments will be provided.

We also held a training on May 15 on strategies for obtaining informed consent and ensuring patients own their stories.

The session recordingsession slides, sample consent form, consent conversation starter guide, and story sharing consent tool are available for review and use.

Sharing stories is how change happens and as physicians we are surrounded by stories. In order for us to be able bear witness or advocate, we must first collect stories ethically. Once we have stories to share, we must share them effectively.

All are welcome. This event is made possible from the support and engagement of our members. While you do not have to be a member to attend, we encourage you to join us. Our members are healthcare professionals and community members who advocate for health equity in all aspects of their professional, public, and private lives.
