Physicians have a role in documenting and reporting human rights violations.  Here are some resources to learn more:

Post-Detention Exam and Documentation: A guide on how to evaluate patients and document potential human rights violations that occurred during detention.

Post-Detention Note Template:  A Rich Text File Template that an be copied into an Epic Smartphrase (or equivalent).  Note that the current Yes/No SmartLists are specific to OCHIN Epic, but can be easily adapted for any version of Epic or other EMRS

Asylum Medicine Training Initiative: A comprehensive, free training on how to perform forensic medical evaluations.

The Istanbul Protocol - This is the internationally recognized gold standard for investigating and documenting the physical and psychological effects of human rights violations.
