Sharing stories is how change happens, and as physicians we are surrounded by stories. In order for us to be able bear witness or advocate, we must first collect stories ethically. Once we have stories to share, we must share them effectively.
Part 1: Informed Consent and Stories- May 15 6-8pm | virtual
Join us on May 15 from 6-8pm for a virtual workshop on strategies for obtaining informed consent and ensuring patients own their stories.
Part 2: Stories and Advocacy- Date and location TBA
Next, we'll gather an in-person workshop on use the stories you ethically collected for advocacy. You will learn how to write letters to the editor, opinion and perspective pieces, and other ways to use stories for advocacy.
All are welcome. This event is made possible from the support and engagement of our members. While you do not have to be a member to attend, we encourage you to join us. Our members are healthcare professionals and community members who advocate for health equity in all aspects of their professional, public, and private lives.
